Write a Play

A)

Mom is nice but strict and caring. She knows how it feels to have a very strict father. She understands where Jenny is coming from. She works a full time job and comes home and cooks and helps clean.

Dad is very strict and he doesn’t care what Jenny’s friends are doing only what she is doing. He likes it his way and his way only.

Jenny is a teenage girl that is nice, pretty and does okay in school but her parents would like her to do better. She wants do everything every other teenage girl likes to do and she wants to fit in with the kids at her school.

B)

The family is in the kitchen/ dining room area. There is an oak wood table with six chairs around it. There is a hot meal of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, and biscuits. The big, shiny, beautiful chandelier gives off a bright light.

C)

MOM: Jenny, How was school today?

JENNY: Good. I got an A on my biology test today.

MOM: Good I’m proud of you.

DAD: Way to go! Now all you need to do is get A’s all the time

JENNY: I will try to do my best.

DAD: How was work today, Angie?

MOM ( Angie): Boring the boss’s wife was in today and she answered the phone and did all the stuff I normally do. What did you do today, Bill?

DAD (Bill): I did some laundry then I went in the garage and just messed around for awhile and watched some TV.

MOM: So Jenny I looked on Zangle today and you have some missing assignments in History and Biology.

JENNY: Oh I didn’t turn them in.

MOM: Why not?

JENNY: Because I didn’t have time to finish them.

DAD: Well when you get done eating you better get them all done!!! Or I’m taking your phone for a week.

JENNY: OKAY!!! Why do you worry about it it’s not your grade!

DAD: Now I am taking your phone away for 2 weeks and you’re not going to that party on Friday that you wanted to go to.

(A few minutes pass)

JENNY: So all my friends are starting drivers ed.

MOM: Are they even old enough to start driving?

JENNY: They are 14 and 8 months. You can start segment one at that age. Then they take segment two after at least 3 months and then take a road test after 6 months. But you have to be 16 to get a license.

MOM: Oh that’s a long process.

JENNY: Mom, When can I start to take drivers ed?

MOM: Well when you get your grades up and don’t get into trouble at school.

JENNY: But I haven’t got in trouble this week.

DAD: Well it doesn’t matter you don’t need to drive right now anyways.

JENNY: Dad! Why don’t I need to drive???

DAD: Because you don’t need to go anywhere that you’re Mom or I won’t take you.

JENNY: Well what if you guys are busy?

DAD: Then your Grandma or Grandpa will take you.

MOM: Bill she’s going to have to learn sometime, but just not until those grades are brought up.

DAD: Okay I guess your right

English 10 Final Review

No I don’t think that Huck knows how to “throw in the fancy touches” because compared to Tom’s plans Huck’s are not as adventurous, Huck did not read all of the novels that Tom did so he does not know as much information about adventure and Tom has a more creative mind.

I don’t think that Huck knows how to “throw in the fancy touches” because compared to Tom’s plans Huck’s are not as adventurous. One example of when Tom’s plan was more fun or adventurous is when they were trying to free Jim. Huck’s was a more down to reality kind of plan. Where Tom’s plan was to dig a whole to get Jim out which would take a long time. When Huck just wanted to get Jim out and free him which would take less time and less of a risk of getting caught.

Another reason I don’t think Huck knows how to “throw in the fancy touches” because he did not read the adventure books like Tom did to educate him self about the adventure. Tom always refers to reading a book when they are about to do something fun and adventurous.

The last reason I don’t think Huck knows how to “throw in the fancy touches” because he has a more creative mind. An example of when this happened is when Tom makes the Tom Sawyer Gang. His imagination made the whole thing up and it was more creative. And Huck quit the gang because he thought it was dumb because it wasn't real.

In conclusion these examples are the reasons why I don’t think Huck knows how to “throw in the fancy touches”.
